August

So far this month has been really cool. Work has been going well, its been busy, I have a lot of stuff on the table because the fiscal year is up in two months. So I have lots of stuff do get done, but thats all boring. I wanted to congratulate the incoming freshman, I hope that you have a good year at your schools and that you do well. You will be missed here. Anyways, what I really wanted to say was this might be the best month of the year for me, got to go see Ozomalti this past Sunday, they were incredible as always, Thomas and Jenny really seemed to enjoy maybe next time some of you will come and also hear for yourself. I was a bit disapointed that Boyz II Men was cancelled for monday night, but I'll get over that, mainly because I'm getting to go see Dave Matthews two nights in a row as most of you well know. The only thing that could make this month better is if somehow LSU football started before the end of the month, but its not too far behind. Just 17 days 17 hrs and 12 mins to go at time of post. **B.S.

Ok well I felt that this post needed a comment since it has been lonely so far. I must say that Ozomatli was stinkin' cool (there's the word for you, Chad). Might have been the funnest and best concert I've ever been to. Hope y'all have a wonderful time at Dave.

the dang thing no longer likes me...it won't let me sign in but doesn't tell me I have the wrong name or password, ugghhh! Anyway, as disappointing as it may be, I think it was Jenny because the person said "funnest." -Laura

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Dave I beg your forgiveness and that of everyone else! I was doing so good till then. I swear the other anonymous posts are not from me, but then I wasn't even home when most of them were posted. Way to go, Laura, you are correct. Oh, and I have the same problem sometimes when I try to post a comment, but usually if you go to the Blogger icon and sign in, then go to the post and comment it works.

OK, I forgive you Jenny. "To err is human, to forgive is divine." Though, I should have known it was you. ;-)You are half right, Laura (about what gave Jenny away). Her usage of "funnest" was a clue, but it was when she said "stinkin'" that confirmed it for me. Only her and Marty use that awful word. :-) See ya'll tomorrow. Peace!

Actually, Dave, that was referring to Wednesday night when Chad complained about people using 'stinkin'. I wasn't aware that I actually used it otherwise. Hope y'all had fun at the concerts!

Actually, Dave, I was wondering where I picked up that phrase...thanks for the clarification. I also say stinkin' a whole stinkin' lot. I should stop. Have a great first day at la escuela (that's spanish for all you non-speakers). Good luck to all the freshmen. Get lost and use the map, it'll be good for you. And it will give me something to laugh about.

Why is it that so many people insist on using spanish when here in America. Last time I checked our only official language is English(or American, what I can the version of English we speak). Laura I'm not just dogging on you, there is a lot of people that do it. Anyway just a question.

Sorry Chad. I speak some Spanish so I thought that it would be fun to throw some words in on occasion. I can't promise complete repentance but I will try not to do it again. Besides, Hispanics are the largest growing population in America, so one day you may need to know this stuff. I promise no grammar lessons though.

"Have a great first day at la escuela (that's spanish for all you non-speakers)." It's funny that you informed us non-spanish speakers that the word was spanish, but didn't tell us what the word meant (since we don't speak Spanish).

***As a point of reference, America does not have an "official" language. At the moment, the majority of citizens have English as their first language, but there is no statute or legislation establishing the English language as official.
